Information you provide
If you email us, we receive the information included in your message, such as your email address, name, and any details you choose to share. We use it only to respond, keep appropriate business records, and protect the site.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting provider and WordPress installation may process technical information when you visit, including your IP address, browser type, device information, requested pages, referring page, and access time. This information supports security, troubleshooting, and site performance.
Cookies and similar technologies
WordPress, our hosting provider, and site features may use cookies or similar storage necessary for security, preferences, and normal operation.
Optional analytics disabled
As of October 15, 2026, we do not load Google Tag Manager or Google Analytics on this website. The optional analytics consent banner and Cookie settings control have been removed. Previously collected analytics data may remain in Google Analytics under the retention settings configured when collected. You can remove previously stored Google Analytics cookies and analytics preferences through your browser settings. Newsletter consent remains separate, and requesting an article email does not subscribe you to the newsletter.
How we use information
We use information to operate and secure the website, answer messages, diagnose technical problems, understand general site performance, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell personal information.
Service providers
We rely on service providers such as our web host and WordPress-related tools to operate the site. They may process limited information on our behalf under their own terms and privacy practices.
Article emails and newsletters
If you request an article by email, we use your email address to send the selected article link through Brevo. This one-time request does not subscribe you to marketing emails or add you to a newsletter list.
Newsletter signup is a separate action with an unchecked consent box and an email confirmation. Brevo processes subscriber email addresses, confirmation events, and consent timestamps to manage the newsletter. You can unsubscribe using the unsubscribe link in any newsletter. A confirmation request alone does not complete enrollment.
To protect these forms, we keep short-lived keyed hashes for duplicate and rate-limit checks rather than storing raw IP addresses in the form logs. The email provider processes delivery records, and our hosting provider may retain its ordinary security logs. Form failure records contain error codes and timestamps, not email addresses or submitted message bodies.
Retention
We retain information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above, including security, recordkeeping, and legal requirements.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or a copy of personal information associated with you. You may also object to certain processing or withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. We may need to verify your request before acting on it.
Children
The site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
External links
Our guides may link to other websites. Their owners control their privacy practices, and this policy does not cover those sites.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site and its services change. The date above identifies the latest revision.
